Nailstone Beach.

Sitting hunched at his desk in his one room apartment, Tafk finished typing the final page of his latest manuscript. The bright spotlight of his lamp singed his antennae. Without giving the page a second glance, he scrunched it up and added it to his waste basket. It wasn’t deep enough! It lacked the twisted torment of the agonized soul! He typed a new page and promptly discarded that too.
He stared out the window at the wall on the opposite side of the road, and remembered the regular meetings of his fellow intellectual authors. The golden rule was that the deeper and more philosophical the literature the harder it was for the masses to understand. So, then the key for the profound was to use as many long words as possible and if possible, use as many made-up words.
He turned back to his typewriter and began pounding the keyboard with such vigour the machine discombobulated itself…. after a five-minute flurry he sat back to admire his work. and then read it aloud in a quiet admiration.
“ ...The zoogelsnatch of existence is only comparable to the finklewort of supreme and intangible horror. For tis’ incomprehensible that it is comprehensible to be but one of greys and blues. As Jord lay helplessly on his back surrounded by piles of bay leaves, he began to realise that his life had been pointless and he himself was worthless as a gruntled physic in the backward mind. Slugs can swim.
So, knowing the ultimate truth he died.

It was perfect.......

Uriah Tafk at Work.

Old Manfred, the firefly, sat in his bulb and glanced at the evening edition of the Beetle Daily. Some of the younger Fireflies were getting rebellious about working the lighting shifts again. Puh! Give him the paper and a cup of tea and he was fine for hours… Though so long as the Moths didn’t pester him. It wasn’t as though he didn’t like Moths but the illicit ones, who hung around in gangs, thought it was funny flying into his glass. They should invest in a good pair of sunglasses as far as he was concerned. The Buffoons! Old Manfred sighed and shifted his paper. Like per usual the Fireflies were on Strike again. Tanglewood city was in the dark.
